Kwee Leng Beng

Kwek is executive director and chairman of Hong Leong Group Singapore, a conglomerate that controls 14 listed companies ranging from financial services to infrastructure development. It also owns and operates more than 150 hotels in over 20 countries through its listed company, City Developments Limited (CDL).

Kwek joined CDL in the late 1960s, and in the years since contributed significantly to growing it into Southeast Asia’s second-largest property developer and one of the largest hotel owners and operators globally. He is also chairman of Millennium & Copthorne Hotels, a London-listed international hospitality group in which CDL owns a 53 per cent stake.

Kwek, who has won multiple awards and is the holder of a law degree, is a member of the East Asia Council of INSEAD and Action Community of Entrepreneurship Singapore. He is also a fellow of The Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators.
