Kwee Liong Tek

A visionary leader and one of the pioneers behind Pontiac Land Group

Together with his three other brothers, Kwee Liong Keng, Kwee Liong Seen and Kwee Liong Phing, Kwee Liong Tek have exponentially grown the family business, founded by their late father, Henry Kwee, into one of Singapore’s largest privately held family-owned developers. Pontiac Land Group now boasts a portfolio of iconic assets that spans hospitality, mixed-use, commercial, and residential developments in Singapore, New York, Sydney, and the Maldives. In 2017, the group acquired the leading hospitality management company Capella Hotel Group as a wholly owned subsidiary.

In May 2024, Pontiac Land Group welcomed a newly constituted Board of Directors, comprising third-generation Kwee family members and three independent directors, led by Chairman Peter Ong, the company’s first independent chairman and former Head of Civil Service, and Chairman of Enterprise Singapore.

In 2025, the group’s Fari Islands development expanded its renewable energy framework, with the potential of supplying up to 50 per cent of the islands’ energy demand on sunny days.

Fuelled by a passion for innovation and technology, Kwee currently invests in and supports startups that offer blockchain solutions, digital payment services, and digital asset insurance.
