For broadening access to tech education and careers
Kornvuthi Lapprathana’s social enterprise TechUp runs online coding courses and boot camps that give students increased access to financially rewarding tech careers. The results have been impressive: 60 to 80 percent of learners get jobs within 90 days of graduation, including in companies such as IBM and PwC, and there is a 33 percent increase in their median salaries post-bootcamp; while Kornvuthi himself was selected for the Obama Foundation Asia-Pacific Leaders Programme.
