Koh Wee Seng

CEO, Aspial Corporation

Koh Wee Seng is a jeweller-turned-international property developer

Koh Wee Seng is the CEO of jewellery retailer Aspial, which also owns the Lee Hwa, Goldheart, Niessing and Citigems brands. Upon inheriting the half-a-century-old family jewellery business, Koh revamped his mother's shop into an international conglomerate spanning jewellery, financial, property and hospitality services in just two decades. An alumnus from National University of Singapore’s Business school, he drove Lee Hwa to become the first and only jeweller to be publicly listed on SGX in 1999.

He is also the younger brother of budget hotelier Koh Wee Meng, the man behind the Singapore-listed Fragrance Group, which also has interests in Australia and the UK. Aspial recently expanded into real estate with World Class Land and World Class Global, business divisions that manage commercial and residential projects in Singapore, Malaysia and Australia. Projects undertaken by the former include City Gate, a 30-storey mixed development featuring 188 commercial units and 311 residential units in Singapore’s Beach Road district, and Waterfront@Faber, a collection of strata landed homes and condominium apartments in Clementi.

World Class Global’s projects include Melbourne’s Australia 108, a 101-storey condominium touted at the point of launch as the tallest residential building in the city and the southern hemisphere. Other developments include the Magazine Vista Hotel, Ropewalk Piazza conservation shophouses and the Bahari Parade commercial development in Penang, Malaysia, among others.

Koh is married with 3 children and largely stays out of the public eye.
