Plus Xnergy's solar -power systems have helped transform businesses across Malaysia
Ko Chuan Zhen is the co-founder and group CEO of the multi award-winning Plus Xnergy (formerly known as Plus Solar), a leading clean-energy solutions company dealing in solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. The company is responsible for facilitating more than 700 buildings’ switch to clean energy across Malaysia, including IKEA, KLIA and Sunway. It has also powered six solar farms, and is behind the largest solar-powered car park.
Partnering with his two long-time friends Ryan Oh Zhi Kang and Poh Tyng Huei, he established Plus Xnergy as an energy-solutions provider and partner, offering a warranty of up to 25 years. The firm is also branching out into monitoring and analysing the energy consumption of companies’ buildings. The company has a corporate social-responsibility arm, Plus Xnergy Academy, which conducts free engineering workshops for students across Malaysia.

It was Ko’s professor in university who loaned him a solar panel for his final assignment. As a thank-you, Ko gifted his lecturer a solar panel when he established his company.
