Ko Chuan Zhen

Ko Chuan Zhen is the co-founder and group CEO of the multi-award-winning Plus Xnergy Holding Sdn Bhd (PXH), a leading clean-energy solutions company dealing in solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. The company is responsible for facilitating more than 700 buildings’ switch to clean energy across Malaysia, including IKEA, KLIA and Sunway. It has also powered six solar farms and is behind the largest solar-powered car park.

Partnering with his two long-time friends Ryan Oh Zhi Kang and Poh Tyng Huei, he established Plus Xnergy as an energy-solutions provider and partner, offering a warranty of up to 25 years. The firm is also branching out into monitoring and analysing the energy consumption of companies’ buildings. The company has a corporate social responsibility arm, Plus Xnergy Academy, which conducts free engineering workshops for students across Malaysia.

In June 2024, BM Greentech Bhd (BMG), an investment holding company principally engaged in biomass boiler design and manufacturing, signed a term sheet to acquire the company for RM110 million, to be paid with new shares in BMG. BMG will also inject additional equity funding of up to RM50 million to fund the PXH Group’s business growth and expansion.
