The Alliance Global CEO is shaping Philippine tourism and world-class hospitality experiences

Under Kevin Tan’s leadership, Alliance Global Group, Inc (AGI) continues to shape the Philippine tourism landscape while championing sustainable growth and community development. For Tan, tourism is more than a business: “It is both our responsibility and our advantage,” he says, emphasising its ability to create jobs, support local enterprises and showcase Filipino culture and hospitality on the world stage.

This vision is realised through destination-led townships and integrated resorts in established hubs like Mactan, Boracay and Manila, as well as emerging cities including Iloilo and Bacolod. At the centre of these efforts is the Academy for Leisure and Tourism, a Tesda-accredited institution that trains 1,000 professionals annually, equipping Filipinos with skills for world-class careers in hospitality, culinary arts, hotel operations, gaming and entertainment.

His 2025 milestones include the inaugural visit of chef Gordon Ramsay to the Philippines, the launch of his first Asian restaurants in Mactan, and the opening of Nascala Coast, Megaworld’s 36th township in Batangas. Tan is also expanding AGI’s signature hospitality offerings through Narra Palm Hotel and Villas, Westside World Resorts and major developments in Boracay and Mactan, strengthening the country’s position as a premier tourism destination.

If there is a legacy we wish to help build, it is a future where tourism thrives sustainably, where growth reaches more regions and families and where every achievement opens new doors for the next generation

Emperador uses organic biogas to fuel the boilers in its distilling plants. These boilers produce steam that power turbines, creating electricity that reduces their carbon footprint. Their operations in Spain also invested in deficit irrigation, which benefits locations that have low water supply.
