Accessories designer

A biologist by profession, specialising in marine biodiversity, his career took a turn when he decided to dive into accessories (and without any formal training!). A socially conscious artist, Ken employs disadvantaged women, embraces natural and organic forms (thus paying homage to the sea), and uses recycled and sustainable material. He has a wide range, from statement necklaces to box cluthess. Vogue Italia included Ken in Vogue Talents for Accessories in 2014, and featured him in their 50th Anniversary issue, a first for a Filipino. American Vogue and British Fashion Council chose Ken, twice, to join IFS and London Fashion Week. Ken was part of Pitti Immagine, for Super Talents 2014, and was a finalist for San Pellegrino Young Chef/Designer Competition 2015. He also launched his collection at the 2015 Vogue Talents Corner at Piazza Morando, where only 12 designers were showcased. Thailand’s Ministry of Commerce has awarded him best ASEAN textile and fashion designer in the field of craftsmanship and innovation. He makes about 20 pieces of each design per month to retain that “specialness”, but this might change
