The look took on a life of its own during her time in London, where a photographer encouraged her to preserve what would become an instantly recognisable part of her image. Today, it remains one of the most personal expressions of her style.

For Kelly, confidence does not begin with clothes. It begins with the person wearing them. "Honestly, confidence comes from within yourself," she says. "Not from the clothes themselves."
