The Galanistas | Model and style icon Kelly Tandiono embraces fashion as an expression of individuality, balancing comfort, confidence and contrasting elements to create a look that is unmistakably her own.

Kelly Tandiono’s style has always occupied an intriguing middle ground: edgy yet elegant, masculine yet subtly feminine, and above all, unmistakably her own. Shaped as much by an active lifestyle and years in modelling as by her immersion in fashion, her wardrobe reflects a woman who values movement, individuality and ease. "Whatever I wear, it has to be really comfortable," she says. "It's not just about fashion, but also comfort."

That sense of comfort, however, is never synonymous with simplicity. Kelly has an instinct for bringing opposing elements together—sporty silhouettes with polished details, enduring denim with a statement watch, or an understated top with shoes that sharpen the look. Her approach is less about chasing novelty than understanding what feels authentic. Even some of her jeans have remained in her wardrobe for two decades, evidence of a style built on longevity rather than excess.

Then there is her hair: the defining punctuation to her look. Her fringe has become a signature, shifting between straight, wavy, shorter or longer, while always retaining its distinctive presence. "My hair is the defining element that makes my style truly extraordinary. My iconic fringe was actually born in my twenties on the advice of a renowned photographer in London—a single, bold cut that ultimately became my signature and transformed my entire career." The look took on a life of its own during her time in London, where a photographer encouraged her to preserve what would become an instantly recognisable part of her image. Today, it remains one of the most personal expressions of her style.

For Kelly, confidence does not begin with clothes. It begins with the person wearing them. "Honestly, confidence comes from within yourself," she says. "Not from the clothes themselves." Perhaps that is what makes her anything but ordinary: the ability to make almost anything feel considered simply by owning it. In Kelly’s world, style is not a costume. It is confidence, distilled into form.
