Her experiences of struggling to access mental healthcare while working as the head of the dental department at a military hospital inspired Kanpassorn Suriyasangpetch to form Ooca, which offers online psychiatric consultations anonymously and securely. Addressing Thailand’s shortage of mental health professionals and fighting stigma, Ooca has become the country’s leading mental health telemedicine platform. In 2023, it raised Series A funding from BDMS, Thailand’s largest health services group.
