Over a billion people around the world lack access to quality healthcare, and Justin Fulcher was not going to sit back and stare at this sad statistic. In 2013, he founded RingMD, an online platform that connects users—even those in rural areas with low bandwidth—to medical and non-medical health experts around the world. “I’m especially proud of our partnership with the Indian government’s Digital India programme,” says the ambitious American, who is a champion of lifelong learning, and programming whiz who first learned coding at age seven. Under his leadership as CEO, his Singapore-based start-up has “built a gateway to healthcare access to 880 million rural residents in India”, as part of the Digital India partnership forged in 2016.
