Fashion designer Justin Chou’s star continues to rise

Taipei Fashion Week AW22 was a breath of fresh air, showcasing sustainable creations in a time of ultra-fast, ultra-disposable excess. On the front row is Justin Chou, a formidable force in sustainable fashion, who also designed Minister of Culter Lee Yong-te’s attire for the evening. The piece was a collaboration with veteran artist Paul Chiang’s painting, “Silver Lake”.

In 2014, Chou founded Just In XX, an avant-garde street fashion brand that juxtaposes Chinese and Western cultures. Through his internationally successful brand, he continues to promote sustainability and represent Taiwan on the global stage.

Chou is the first Taiwanese designer to be invited to join New York Fashion Week. In 2014, he received the Gold Award at the prestigious Taipei Good Fashion Emerging Designers. He was the Grand Prize winner at the 2015 Elle Magazine New Talent Awards. He was the only designer to represent Taiwan at the Elle Magazine Fashion Now Global Emerging Designer Competition, where he placed third in the world.
