“Architect” of the global vision of Sheraton Saigon Grand Opera Hotel

Born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Mr. Julian Wong is a seasoned professional in the luxury hotel industry in Asia and possesses extensive knowledge of the international hotel market. During his 25 years with Marriott International Inc., he has continuously expanded his senior leadership capabilities through assignments in 4 countries, 11 locations, and 6 Marriott brands.

Since late 2021, he has been leading the hotel’s business strategy and is fully responsible for every aspect of Sheraton Saigon Hotel & Towers (now Sheraton Saigon Grand Opera Hotel) overall performance. As General Manager, he has played a key and passionate role in implementing the comprehensive TakeCare Program, focusing on physical wellness, mental health, and financial well-being for its associates. This achievement has brought global recognition, with the hotel winning the Debbie Marriott Harrison TakeCare Award of Excellence 2025 and the TakeCare Excellence Leadership Award from APEC 2024. Notably, the hotel’s initiative “Local Areas: Where Can You Exercise?” has the potential to be implemented globally.

In addition, as a champion of School Partnership, Mr. Julian Wong has played a key role in shaping and investing in the future of youths (NextGen) by collaborating with local universities and colleges. The hotel has become one of the first Marriott International hotels in Vietnam to achieve the prestigious Green Globe certification. In particular, in his role as a leader of the school cooperation program, he has invested in the young generation by signing MOUs with 10 universities/colleges and organizing 17 career orientation sessions, positively impacting 4,001 students. The hotel has recruited 174 trainees, with an excellent conversion rate of 31.21% (higher than the national average), demonstrating its commitment to nurturing talent and creating real career opportunities.
