Real estate magnate Jose Eduardo “Joey” Antonio is the founder and chairman of Century Properties Group—the only Filipino firm that developed in New York

Filipino billionaire, Jose Eduardo “Joey” Antonio, is the driving force behind Century Properties Group, an award-winning real-estate developer that began operations in 1986. Some of its properties are the 57-storey Trump Tower Manila, the Gramercy Residences, Azure Urban Resort Residences and Acqua Livingstone.


Now in his 70s, Antonio is among the 50 richest Filipinos in the country, with a net worth of US$265 million. He graduated cum laude from San Beda College then went to Ateneo de Manila’s Graduate School of Business for a degree in Business Management. In 2016 Antonio was appointed by President Rodrigo Duterte as the Philippines’ special envoy to the United States. His duties allowed him to enhance business ties between the two countries, strengthening relationships for Philippine and US economic affairs. He founded the Philippine-China Business Council Inc and also serves as chairman of Philtranco Service Enterprises.


He celebrated his 50th wedding anniversary with his wife Hilda, they have four sons together.
