Imagine having all the technology of your smartphone embedded in your glasses. That’s what Jordan Cheng has done with Mad Gaze, the world’s first fully operational smart glasses. He uses motion sensors and voice detectors to ensure the experience is entirely hands-free, meaning users can ask for a translation, send a text or navigate a map using their glasses alone. Mad Gaze received US$18.6 million in funding in January 2020.
