Jonathan Matti

In 2017, British design firm De Gournay partnered with Filipino interior designer Jonathan Matti—who had been known to use De Gournay wallpapers in his projects—to create bespoke wallpaper panels. The collaboration gave birth to Latina Manila, a collection of 20 panels inspired by 19th-century Manila and the Philippines’ flora and fauna.

Matti’s design style is appreciated for its sophistication and elegance. He also draws inspiration from Filipino culture, history and art, as evidenced by Latina Manila. In March 2020, Matti, with fashion designer Pepito Albert and interior/jewellery designer Mark Wilson, curated a fantastic collection for León Gallery’s The Summer Auction.

Through his firm, Jonathan G Matti Design Consultants, Matti continues his work of bringing into homes his idea of luxury, which often refers to bespoke, handmade and unique pieces.
