CMP Group began casting metals and became the largest private foundry in Greater China going on establish PUJEN Land Development before branching into leisure and the arts. Jonas Ho is general manager of CMP Village and CEO of CMP Pujen Foundation for Arts and Culture, and focuses on developing artistic and cultural experiences for the public in a folksy and interesting style through interactive mechanisms and cross-industry resource integration. Despite having a design background, Jonas is able to view things from an audience's perspective and loves to explore potential creativity in daily life. Under his leadership, CMP Village became an instant hit after formally opening to the public on New Year's Day 2017. The experimental space incorporates local aesthetics and stories, and features a massive bamboo weaving artwork or “sentient canopy” surrounded by 15 white tents in which to explore and experience local arts and culture. In July this year, CMP Village launched The Forest BIG plan, inviting visitors to go deeper into the forest to open up their imagination.
