Founder and CEO, Epic Collective
Always going the extra mile, John-Son Oei in paying acute attention to the housing crisis began building homes for marginalised communities through his co-founded organization Epic Homes with Jayne Kennedy and Loh Jon Ming . A non-profit, Epic Homes has transformed into a movement that seeks to foster relationships amid the urban rural divide by building homes for the underprivileged. As all three co-founders began expanding their social enterprise to become EPIC Communities, a community-driven development that aims to create cooperative, resilient and sustainable communities. In March, Epic Communities successfully completed a Proto-park project in Millenium Park, Subang in partnership with MPSJ and Hannah Yeoh, where young people built their own park. His desire to help improve the lives of others stems from the unconditional love he received as a teen, after the loss of his father. John recently announced Epic Communities future plans to construct more than 10,000 houses for those in need.
