Joe Sim

Professor Joe Sim is a powerful force in Healthcare Strategy as Group CEO of NHG Health. An engineer by training, he recently accelerated NHG’s mission to harness Artificial Intelligence for patient-centric care. His two-year focus includes a major ST Engineering partnership to optimise workflows and achieve NHG’s 15 million years of health target by 2030.

Prior to NHG Health, he held key roles including Group COO at IHH Healthcare, Deputy CEO at NUHS, and CEO of NUH. In 2014, he was awarded the Singapore Human Resources Institute’s Leading CEO Award.

Beyond healthcare, Prof Sim also held leadership roles in the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Defence, and Community Development Council. He is a First-Class Honours graduate from Cambridge University in Electronic and Information Science, and holds a Master in Public Administration from Harvard University.
