Jin Xi Cheong

With a name that combined “Polaroid” and “drone”, yesterday’s Poladrone was for fun; today’s rebranded Aonic builds not toys but ecosystems. Co-founded by Jin Xi Cheong, it pioneered point-to-point agricultural spraying in Asia, and is now building mapping and surveying systems. Aonic also works in the industrial and retail sectors, runs a dedicated repair centre and operates Malaysia’s first authorised service centre for Chinese drone giant DJI.
