Jes Fan’s work explores the interface between art and living organisms, often resembling biological systems and employing bodily fluids in their art. Their pieces also frequently question the nature of queer identity by examining the cultural meanings attached to various substances. With solo exhibitions in Hong Kong, the US and the UK, they were shortlisted for the prestigious BMW Art Journey and participated in the 59th Venice Biennale.
