Culture Cartel is an annual exhibition and shopping festival that celebrates street culture, from art to fashion and toys to tattoos. Started in 2018 by event organiser Jeremy Tan and three of his friends, Mandeep Chopra, Douglas Khee and Dave Chiam, it attracted 18,000 fans in 2019, and then moved online in 2020 to see about 70,000 people tuning in. With a content-driven website to accompany the festival, the company is trying to convert it from an annual event into an ongoing community of street culture collectors and enthusiasts.
