Before the age of 40, Jeff Lin had already worked in such diverse fields as medical care, catering and mall operation. Jeff left Taiwan to study in the US at the age of 14 and went on to graduate from the University of California, Irvine with a master's in business administration. When he was 29 years old, he returned to Taiwan and spent three years transforming the parking lot of Cheng Ching Hospital in Taichung into the high-quality J-Mall Food Plaza, which has become one of the most popular food courts in Taichung City. After taking over the health management centre of Cheng Ching Hospital, Jeff set up the Executive Health Management Center, the only centre with world-class advanced imaging equipment in central Taiwan. With the new Health Check 4.0, too, the centre is leading Taiwan into an era of smart health checks. In 2014, Jeff established HOYII Life and successively introduced one-Michelin-star dim-sum specialists Tim Ho Wan, French-Vietnamese sandwich brand in the US Lee’s Sandwiches, one-Michelin-starred restaurants Hawker Chan and Tsuta, to Taiwan, and opened an art-style food court HOYIl North Station in the hottest area in West District, Taipei. In the future, Jeff plans to continue to introduce renowned international culinary brands to Taiwan to provide more food and entertainment options for consumers.
