Jean Henri Lhuillier heads the Lhuillier Group of companies, and is a prominent Filipino sports patron

The son of the Philippine ambassador to Spain, Philippe Jones Lhuillier and wife Edna Diago Lhuillier, Jean is the heir to an empire that includes the Philippines’ most well-known microfinancing institution, Cebuana Lhuillier. The second-generation scion is now president and CEO of the PJ Lhuillier Group of Companies, which boasts of a wide array of businesses: pawnshops, rural banks, jewellery, real estate, and insurance, to name a few.

Lhuillier himself is invested in various industries and is also the director and board chairman of Global Restaurant Concepts, which owns the Philippines franchises of California Pizza Kitchen, International House of Pancakes, Morelli’s Gelato, and Gyu-Kaku.

Apart from his many entrepreneurial pursuits and his leadership of the family business, Lhuillier is also known to be a prominent patron of sports. For decades, he has contributed to the development of Filipino athletes—especially in tennis, softball, football, and swimming—by supporting events and tournaments.

Like his father before him, Lhuillier is also a diplomat, holding the title of Honorary Consul General of The Most Serene Republic of San Marino to the Philippines.
