Multi-talented singer and actor Jam Hsiao is only getting started

From working as a singer at a restaurant in his teens, Jam Hsiao has become Taiwan’s top-earning singer and actor in 2020. He rose to stardom after participating in the singing competition show, One Million Star, in 2007. In 2008, he signed with Warner Music Taiwan and released a self-titled debut album. One of his most notable acting performances was the lead role in The Killer Who Never Kills (2011), for which Hsiao also wrote the theme song. Since then, he has won numerous awards for singing and acting. In 2020, he returned in Singer: Year of the Hits’ eighth season as a host and solo performer.

Hsiao’s studio in Taipei welcomes young artists to experience music and share their creations as part of his dream to open a full-fledged music school. He is known for his concern for public and animal welfare, and has six dogs and four cats at his eight-storey, NT$200 million mansion. He also owns bubble tea chain AtTea, with branches in Taiwan and Singapore.
