Singer, dancer and actress
The Hypesters | Singer, dancer and actress Jace Chan keeps pushing boundaries and reinventing herself
She’s performed with Canto-pop queen Sammi Cheng, Collar’s Marf, Mirror’s Edan Lui, fellow indie singer Jeffrey Ngai and rapper Kalai—singer, dancer and actor Jace Chan is in demand. The independent artist has reinvented herself over the past year: both music-wise, with a new EP, Hatching, and fashion-wise: “I think people come to me because I create new pathways—I refuse to limit myself.”
Whether she pairs a traditional cheongsam top with streetwear or dons a Barbie-pink skirt suit by local designer Celine Kwan, Chan treats fashion as a medium of self-empowerment. It also helps her highlight causes that are dear to her heart, such as uplifting the queer community in the video for Freaks Night Parade.
“Whether it’s about my music, my sexuality, my fashion style, I’m on an adventure. I’m here to explore.”
