Ivan Ting is the executive director of Kader Holdings, the toy manufacturing giant founded by his grandfather, Ting Hsiung-chao, and now run by his father, chairman Kenneth Ting. Ivan joined the family company in 1997, and has been instrumental in expanding its sales of model railway products; the company owns Bachmann, the world’s largest selling model train brand.

Ivan Ting has been chairman of the Hong Kong Chapter of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization and a member of its global board, a member of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council’s Toys Advisory Committee and the chairman of the Hong Kong Exporters’ Association, and is currently the vice chairman of the Hong Kong Toys Council. A keen wine collector who enjoys cooking and skiing, he is a member of the Wuxi Municipal Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference.

He is married to Angie and has two children, Kirsten and Gratian.
