The Ingenues | Always open to try something new, this Gen Z model and musician embodies her generation’s bold approach to style

Iman Fandi works the camera easily—she has had lots of practice, after all. Not only has she been in the public eye for most of her life as the daughter of local football star Fandi Ahmad, but the 23‑year‑old has also been attending photo shoots since she was a baby, thanks to her mother Wendy Jacobs, a former model. “I love the camera, but also seeing the work that goes behind [a shoot]. I try to carry the clothes as well as bring my own personality into it. That’s always the fun part about fashion, because you get to be someone new,” she says. Indeed, the music star had fun channelling old‑school greats such as Naomi Campbell at our Asia’s Most Stylish shoot. Iman knows the power of making a strong impression, especially with the clothes she wears. She says: “Having a sense of style is important. You get to show your identity and how you carry yourself. And you always meet someone through the eyes first.”
