Shao Huilin’s groundbreaking work has led to the development of a fast and accurate test to detect Alzheimer’s disease, which affected 50 million people worldwide in 2019, presenting opportunities for intervention and management. The assistant professor at the National University of Singapore’s Institute for Health Innovation and Technology has won a number of scholarships and accolades, including the Singapore President’s Young Scientist Award 2019.
