Henry Chang

Writer

 

Henry Chang graduated from the School of Medicine Faculty at the National Yang-ming University and went on to work as a clinician. He is now a full-time writer and film scriptwriter, excelling at writing logically structured narratives in an easy and fluent style. He is famous for describing the nature of crime and the dark side of people, making scenes come alive to his readers. In 2014, his debut work The Last Glow in Taipei won the Ministry of Culture's TV programme script creation award. His second long mystery novel Sophistry topped the Bestseller List of Books when it was published. Later, at the invitation by Jo Jo Hui, a famous producer in Hong Kong, he began work on a screenplay. Henry has served as a lecturer at the King Car Literature Lecture Hall and a writer in residence at the Taipei International Book Exhibition. His third long horror novel The Wild was selected as the most promising of Books From Taiwan with international copyright as soon as it was published. His long novel Ants won the Ministry of Culture’s grant for youth literary creation 2018.
