CEO Hendro Gondokusumo continues to lead in Indonesia’s real estate race with Initland’s cutting-edge development and business-savvy strategy

Indonesia has its fair share of luxury real estate, and some of it is the brainchild of Intiland founder and Chief Executive Officer Hendro Gondokusumo.

The company engages in residential, mixed-use, commercial, industrial and luxury properties. Some of the notable projects under its purview are South Quarter, an integrated mixed-use development in South Jakarta; Graha Famili, a golf-themed luxury residential development in Surabaya; Regatta Apartments, a luxury seafront condominium in Jakarta; Pantai Mutiara, a reclaimed housing development in North Jakarta; and Intiland Tower Jakarta, considered the first green building in Indonesia, designed by American architect Paul Rudolph.

Formerly the vice-chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN), Gondokusumo is also involved in several real estate organisations such as the International Real Estate Federation, the International Real Estate Institute and the Indonesian Real Estate Association.

Gondokusumo is also a renowned philanthropist whose charitable efforts include working with Habitat International and promoting the Intiland Teduh programme in Jakarta and East Java. The latter is part of Intiland’s corporate social responsibility projects that aim to provide and help renovate houses for under-privileged people.
