Owner of the Sun Motor Group, Hartono Hosea leads one of the main players in the automotive industry of Indonesia.

Originally a car-loaning business founded by his parents, Hosea established Sun Motor Group in 1987 after earning a degree in Finance and Banking from De La Salle University in Manila, the Philippines.

Since then, Hosea has expanded the company into an automotive dealership with 50 branches in the country. Sun Motor Group still rents cars, as it did back in the day, under its rental business called Sun Rent a Car. In 1996, the company started dealing in hotels with properties and resorts in major cities, as well as economy-price to mid-scale hotel chains like Novotel and Ibis.

In 2011, Hosea started venturing into housing projects, such as the projects Citra Gading Housing in Serang City, West Java, and CiputraSun Garden in Semarang and Yogyakarta, Central Java. He also owns Solo Paragon Mall in Surakarta City (Solo) .
