Owner Handojo Santosa ensures his major dairy-and-protein processing company, Japfa, is running smoothly

Handojo Santosa joined the Japfa group in 1986 as a manager in the edible-oil division. In 1997, he was appointed as president director of the company. He also currently owns a significant share of the company.

Japfa specialises in producing and processing dairy, protein and packaged-food products. As Executive Chairman of the company, Santosa manages the group’s businesses and operations, including the divisions of aquaculture, trading and beef cattle. He is also in charge of overseeing the group’s strategic direction, corporate planning and policies.

Santosa earned the position after working in varied roles for the company, including previously as vice-president director. According to Forbes magazine, Santosa was listed as one of Indonesia’s wealthiest people, with total wealth amounting to US$735 million.
