Hai Qing

Hai Qing, an alumna of Beijing Film Academy, the largest film school in Asia, became popular among Chinese audiences for her role in the TV series A Beautiful Daughter-in-law Era (2009), which eventually won her the Golden Eagle Award for Best Actress.

After rising to fame, she starred in several urban family dramas, including A Little Reunion (2019), I Will Find You a Better Home (2020) and Life is a Long Quiet River (2022). She also received critical acclaim for her performance in the art film Return to Dust (2022), in which she successfully transformed herself into a peasant in northwest China. Her dedication and professionalism wowed online audiences, as behind-the-scenes videos went viral.

Coming from the distinguished Gan family of Nanjing, Hai was brought up in an environment of refinement and sophistication, which has informed her sense of style. Her versatility extends to fashion, making her one of the favourite stars for fashion magazines like L’Officiel, Marie Claire and Madame Figaro. She even appeared on the cover of Harper's BAZAAR Thailand in 2021. Elegant yet edgy, she is a style icon for the mature women of China.
