George Lam is the chairman of Cyberport, the Hong Kong key incubator, high-tech community and business park which hosts around 800 on-site and 900 off-site start-ups and technology companies, including the likes of Microsoft, GOGOX, and Klook. Lam has worked in a huge range of different roles in industries including telecoms, technology, financial services, healthcare, infrastructure and energy, for companies including Hong Kong Telecom, AT Kearney, ST Telemedia, Bank of China and Macquarie Capital.

He is a member of the Hong Kong government’s Committee on Innovation, Technology and Re-Industrialization, a member of the Belt and Road and Greater Bay Area Committee of the Hong Kong Trade and Development Council and of the court of the City University of Hong Kong, as well as the chairman of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific Sustainable Business Network. He has taught at Tsinghua University, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Baptist University and the City University of Hong Kong.
