Co-founder, Director, and Deputy Chief Executive, Better.sg and Cyber Security Agency of Singapore
Gaurav Keerthi’s better.sg is a volunteer-run organisation that drives Singapore’s Tech for Good movement. His other personal project, dialectic.sg is a debate forum for topics such as international relations and conflict (“Should Singapore introduce National Service for women?”), justice and peace (“Should Singapore retain or abolish the death penalty?”) and culture and recreation (“Should our Paralympic medallists receive the same awards as Olympians?”). He is also deputy CEO (development) of Cyber Security Agency of Singapore.
Keerthi, who studied at both Stanford and Harvard University, is no stranger to the limelight. The multi-hyphenate is a former television show judge on The Arena, a local debate show nominated for an Emmy in 2007 and an Asian Television Award in 2008. He hosted and moderated Bridging Asia: The Singapore Debates while serving as president of the Debate Association (Singapore). Keerthi also published a book, Think, Speak, Win: Discover the Art of Debate.
A former brigadier-general and then chief innovation officer in the Republic of Singapore Air Force, Keerthi is a former helicopter pilot and was seconded to the Ministry of Trade and Industry for two years.
