With her company AI Guided, robotics and automation expert Florence Chan wants to help visually impaired and elderly people navigate the world better. The company used AI, haptic-reflex actuation and environmental visualisation to build its Guidi device, which can detect objects within 5m and alert the wearer to their presence. It also creates tailor-made robotic systems for companies in construction, real estate and warehousing seeking to automate tasks.
