As CEO of J.P. Morgan in Asia Pacific, Filippo Gori leads the strategy and oversight for all of the firm’s businesses across 16 markets in the region. He was also appointed head of Banking for Asia Pacific in 2019, and leads the Investment Banking and Corporate Banking businesses in the region.

Gori chairs the Asia Pacific Management Committee and is a member of the firm’s Corporate and Investment Bank Management Committee. Filippo served as the CEO for Hong Kong from 2018 to 2021, which is home to the firm’s Asia Pacific headquarters. Additionally, he is chief executive of JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A. Hong Kong branch and J.P. Morgan Securities (Asia Pacific) Limited.

Gori was hired by J.P. Morgan in 1999 and worked in various Europe-focused roles within the firm’s Investment Bank and Asset Management businesses. He moved to Hong Kong in 2013, as Asia Pacific head of Sales and Marketing for Markets and Investor Services. He was appointed deputy CEO for Asia Pacific in 2019 before becoming CEO for the region in February 2020. Gori also served as chairman of the Asia Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association from 2018 to 2020 and as a board member for six years from 2014. He is a member of The Nature Conservancy Asia Pacific Council as well as a member of the Asia Society Board of Trustees.

Gori is based in Hong Kong with his wife and two children. He is fluent in both English and Italian. He holds a Master of Science in Economics (Honours) from Bocconi University and his thesis in Economic History was published in 1999.
