President, Republic of the Philippines
The 17th president of the Philippines shapes domestic and foreign policies for the country
Ferdinand R Marcos, Jr enters the midpoint of his term with an agenda defined by healthy economic growth, significant policy reforms, and decisive leadership both domestically and internationally.
For the first half of 2025, his administration pursued the Build, Better, More infrastructure development program with more than 200 flagship projects aimed at improving transport, connectivity, and public services.
These efforts sit alongside major socioeconomic policy shifts in 2025, such as the broadening of PhilHealth coverage; the improved discounts for train fares for students, senior citizens, and Persons with Disabilities; the initiation of the Academic Recovery and Accessible Learning program and the Lifelong Learning Development Framework; the implementation of the National Fiber Backbone Project; and, the enactment of the landmark Anti-POGO Act.
In all these, Marcos cultivates an image of a President steering a country through transformation, balancing domestic priorities with the shifting currents of an interconnected world.
