A respected business visionary and celebrated style icon in Malaysia


Dato’ Seri Dr Farah Khan is the founder and president of Malaysia’s leading luxury retailer The Melium Group. As much a fashion icon as a highly-astute businesswoman, Dato' Seri Farah is well regarded for leading Malaysia’s transformation into a sophisticated and stylish Southeast Asian hub over the past 30 years, concurrently building a formidable retail empire.

The Melium Group is one of Malaysia’s designer retail powerhouses, having represented some of the most prestigious luxury fashion brands including Saint Laurent, Lanvin, Givenchy, Hugo Boss, Stuart Weitzman, Tod’s, Roger Vivier, Max Mara, Weekend Max Mara, Emilio Pucci, Aigner, MCM, and Hackett London. Today, the Group distributes more than 100 international luxury fashion brands through a network of 35 standalone and two mixed-brand stores. The Group is also credited for introducing coffee culture to Malaysia, operating today the largest network of Dome restaurants outside Australia.

In 2007, Dato' Seri Farah launched her eponymous fashion label, Farah Khan. The label’s DNA is centred around the heritage art of handstitched embellishments and has regularly graced the red carpet thanks to fans like Selena Gomez, and Gigi and Bella Hadid. In tandem with her work, Dato' Seri Farah has an enduring commitment to social responsibility. Over the course of the past 30 years, she has created and spearheaded numerous original fundraising initiatives, the most notable being The Melium Group’s 30th-anniversary auction in collaboration with Tatler Malaysia, which raised RM4.5 million that benefited 20 Malaysian charities and NGOs.
