After graduating from Pepperdine University and UCLA, Fanny Tsai worked in commodity purchase for BCBG and Macy's in the US. In 2009, she founded her own brand Weng Collection in Los Angeles and received a creative designer award in innovative culture from the Ministry of Culture. In 2015, she was named in the Top 10 Outstanding Independent Designers at Beijing CFIC. Weng Collection participated in the Who's next and Premiere Classe at Paris Fashion Week in early 2017 and in Bijorhca, a jewellery fair in Paris in September of the same year, making her the first jewellery designer in Taiwan to do so. Apart from her role as brand CEO and designer, Fanny also acts as an agent for L.K.Bennett, a British fashion brand beloved by the Duchess of Cambridge, and fashion brand Chiara Ferragni Collectioni in Taiwan through Weng Collection. This year, she introduced fashion leader Karl Lagerfeld’s brand to Taiwan. Fanny believes that it is an important work habit to make a daily to-do list, which can help optimise time management.
