In 2010, Eve Ai appeared in Taiwan's Super Idol show, which she won with her attractive and recognisable voice. Bearing a resemblance to Adele in both vocals and singing style, she was even called Taiwan's Adele by music godfather Wang Zhiping. Eve released three solo albums after joining Sony Music. In 2017, her solo album Talk about Eve was shortlisted for seven awards at the 28th Golden Melody Awards and she won the Award for Best Female Mandarin Singer. In addition, she also won three awards at the 10th Fresh Music Awards, namely Best Song of the Year, the 10 Best Songs of 2017 and Best Female Singer. In 2018, Eve was nominated for the Best Composer award at the 29th Golden Melody Awards for the song Speak Insincerely sung by Lala Hsu. She is expected to release a new album in 2018.
