Ernest Prakasa

Ernest Prakasa rose to fame shortly after winning the 2nd runner-up prize in the Stand-Up Comedy Indonesia (SUCI) competition in 2011. In 2012, Ernest held a solo tour across Indonesia, the first comedian to do so. He was also the co-founder of the “Stand Up Indo” community. Since then, Ernest has gone on to write and direct several movies. What these comedy-dramas have in common, besides an average of over 1 million views each, is how they draw upon relatable themes of family and identity. Ernest’s second film Cek Toko Sebelah, (Check Out the Shop Next Door 2016), in which he also starred as the lead character, earned him a Best Screenplay win at the Indonesian Film Festival. His fourth film, “Mily & Mamet & Ernest”, will be out in Dec 2018.
