Eric Chen

Artist

 

Through creative practice, Eric Chen explores the relationship between body and sensation, and art and architecture. He was chosen to participate in the 2014 Program X-Site developed by the Taipei Fine Arts Museum. In 2016, he participated in various activities including the Taipei South Town Art Festiva's Fuzhou Project, 2016 Overhanging Gable Roof series creation-01, Jiayi Xincen Village Landscape Creation, Light Ponds, Floating Theater, and Post-colony Plan - Intertwined Gaze: The Scenery of Taiwan. His work was also featured at the Sharjah Biennale in the Middle East. Eric won the 2016 ADA Award for Emerging Architects, and worked as a guest lecturer in the Architecture Department at the University of Malaysia. In July 2017, he was invited to participate in the first exhibition of Jerusalem Lives curated by Reem Fadda at the Palestinian Museum of Art. This year, in addition to participating in the 2018 Taiwan Biennale, he served as curator of Natural Landscape for the Taichung World Flora Exposition.
