Emily Jaury

Founder and Managing Partner, Love and Flair

The eldest of the three Jaury sisters, Emily is a Business Administration graduate from the University of Southern California and was on the Dean’s List. Inspired by her grandfather’s self-made story, Emily decided to take on the fashion industry. Together with best friend Dewi Purwati, the 24-year-old Emily started Love and Flair as a middle to middle-high fashion e-commerce venture in 2014. Billed as a “multi-brand store for the fashion obsessed”, it targets socially independent women. At first, they stocked the shop with affordable findings from around the world, but today, most items are locally made—including their own (Suki The Label, Front Row and Other Days). She uses Instagram as a “virtual catwalk” for her 61.1k followers to tap into the “see now buy now” mentality. When they organized first Indonesian Instagrammer beach getaway, they drew 5 million viewers, and sold out their 2017 summer collection within 24 hours. Following a series of successful pop-up stores around Jakarta, the two opened their first store in Plaza Indonesia in 2017. Describing herself as “simple, persistent and a go-getter”, the model millennial religiously endorses all the brands she collaborates with and is currently developing a mobile app and a menswear department.
