Elisa Khong provides food, aid and shelter to the homeless, urban poor and indigenous populations in Malaysia through Kechara Soup Kitchen, which started in 2008. Since then, its operations have expanded to include a food bank dispensing provisions to needy families and equipping mothers with baking skills to earn a living. Kechara Soup Kitchen won the Malaysia Best Business Award 2022.

In addition to her work with Kechara Soup Kitchen, Elisa co-founded My Forever Doggo, a startup focused on creating content promoting dog adoption and spreading love and kindness among all. She is also a co-founder of Wiki Impact, an online platform dedicated to highlighting movements in the impact industry and recognising the work of individuals and organizations who prioritise impact-driven initiatives.
