Lynn, as she goes by, can proudly say that Mano Amiga Philippines currently impacts more than 3000 individuals through its programs focused on education scholarship, livelihood, and training. Her work in education and social entrepreneurship earnt her several awards. These include being part of the 2017 cohort of Asia Society’s Asia 21 Young Leaders, and the United Nations Alliance of Civilisations Summer fellowship, where she participated in the stakeholder dialogue with former UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon on the role of Youth and Peace building. In 2017, she, along with three other friends, put up She Talks Asia, a women empowerment media platform that seeks to elevate the discourse on women’s issues. Last January, She Talks Asia received funding from the US government through the YSEALI Seeds for the Future award. Next up? “We are excited to replicate Mano Amiga’s programs in rural areas, as well as to start implementing our Growth Mindset workshops for ethnic minorities and refugees based in Hong Kong—our frst international location.”
