Elaine Lu doesn’t like to feel confined. That’s why she designs everything from facades and interiors to furniture, graphics and branding. Both Elaine and her husband and co-founder Vince Lim started off working at large architecture firms after graduating from Cornell University. But after a few pieces of furniture they designed as a passion project won acclaim at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair, they decided it was time to go out on their own, establishing Lim + Lu in Hong Kong. A slew of awards followed, including Maison et Objet’s 2017 Rising Asian Talent award.
