You know you’ve made it when Indonesian president Joko Widodo mentions you in a debate. Edwin Setiawan’s app TaniHub connects farmers with supermarkets, hotels and restaurants. Recently it was joined by TaniFund, a startup that helps farmers manage crowdfunding campaigns. Four years after it launched, TaniHub has 25,000 farmer partners, while TaniFund has raised US$500,000 for 2,100 farmers.
