CEO of VinaCapital
Co-founder and CEO of VinaCapital, the powerhouse investment firm shaping Vietnam’s financial landscape
In 1994, at just 27 years old, Don Lam made the bold decision to return to Vietnam from Canada, seizing the opportunity to contribute to the country’s emerging economy. He began his career in Vietnam as a manager at Price Waterhouse Coopers (now PwC) and later held a key position at Deutsche Bank & Coopers.
In 2003, Lam co-founded VinaCapital Group, a move that would redefine Vietnam’s investment landscape. Under his leadership, the firm has grown into one of the country’s most influential investment groups, launching three major funds: VinaLand (2006), DFJ VinaCapital (2006) and Vietnam Infrastructure Limited (2007). VinaCapital has played a pivotal role in some of Vietnam’s most significant developments, including Da Nang Beach Resort and The Dune Residences Da Nang.
