Don Cheng was only 30 years old when he took over the reins of his family's engineering services company Hai Leck in 2009. But age didn't stop him from leading the company to invest millions into mechanisation tools that automated labour-intensive processes and significantly improved productivity. Under his leadership, the company received the Best Dormitory Award for the inclusive services it provides at its workers' dormitories. The award was presented by the Ministry of Manpower in collaboration with the Dormitory Association of Singapore and Migrant Workers Centre.
